A bit of trivia about this Iconic Landmark in Dromana:

John Douglas Coleman, yes! the one that the ‘Coleman Medal’ is named after, once owned the Dromana Hotel from the mid 1950’s. Sadly, he also passed away here, at only 44 years old, due to heart ‘atheroma’, on April 5, 1973!
