Western Port Steelers has seen some huge growth in recent years, where in 2017 we have 28 Junior Steeler teams competing in the Melbourne United Victorian Junior Basketball league (MUVJBL). The Big V is the senior basketball league in Victoria comprising of 141 semi-professional sides across 12 competitions. These competitions comprise of both genders, and incorporate three levels of senior competition (men), three levels for women and youth leagues (23 & Under)

Western Port Steelers also offers a pathway through our connection with Basketball Victoria Country where during the Summer months we enter teams (Men & Women) in the Senior Competition of the Country Basketball League, we use this as a chance to bridge the gap between junior and senior basketball.
