In 1934, JTE (then known as Jack Thompson Engineering) began at a small site in South Melbourne. Founded by Jack Thompson, he set out to deliver top-quality engineering services across the state. Over the years, JTE grew and evolved as it passed through the generations, expanding and moving its premises to Hastings and evolving the operations and offerings – never losing sight of its rich family roots.

After a few location changes, new ownership in 2020 and expanded offerings, today it is known as JTE. With a large facility in Hastings and a secondary facility in Wodonga, JTE now provides comprehensive services and solutions to a wide range of industries.
